Traveling thousands of miles to take part in an artful skating event, Katie Holmes attended the "Artistry on Ice" press conference at the Sheraton Hotel in Beijing, China on Monday (June 11).
The "Batman Begins" actress looked flawless for the event in an off-the-shoulder black dress and ballet inspired heels as she posed for awaiting photographers before taking to the mic to talk about the exciting performance ahead.
As the promotional ambassador for the ice skating extravaganza as well as for the Artistry brand, the brunette beauty is looking forward to seeing gracefulness of art and ice skating come together and said, "Participating in this beautiful show and being able to watch China's own gold medalists, Shen Xue and Zhao Hongbo, skating along with other skating stars is going to be extremely exciting."
Although this isn't the first time that Miss Holmes has been interested in watching skating, she seems just as thrilled to be a part of the event explaining, "I used to watch ice skating on TV and being able to see it live with the high level of skilled skaters and the beautiful environment that Artistry creates for everyone is so thrilling," adding, "I am looking forward to the show here in Beijing."
Aside from being a great spectacle to the eye, the performance is also for a good cause as the 33-year-old explained, "Artistry will donate 5,000 painting art kits to the children of migrant workers, so as to improve their art studying conditions and nurture them to appreciate art."
