Giving fans a deeper look into the upcoming sci-fi film "Prometheus," iTunes trailers has released a new featurette just months before the movie's theatrical release.
In the Ridley Scott directed flick, a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.
Though Scott isn't much of a fan of the word "prequel," Prometheus is technically just that in regards to his previous production, "Alien."
In a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times, the acclaimed director explains, "This takes place in the same universe as ‘Alien,’ but it stands on its own as a story,” adding, "There’s moments where you see connections if you’re looking for them, but the story is not leaning on what came before. There are strands of ‘Alien’ DNA in there, if you will.”
The movie features Charlize Theron, Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba and Logan Marshall-Green and is set to hit theaters June 8th.
