Pumped up to spend time with family and friends, Ian Somerhalder was spotted boarding a helicopter with a group of loved ones in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Thursday (May 31).
Carrying a black backpack, the "Vampire Diaries" star ducked his head as he walked towards the helicopter wearing dark jeans and a white graphic tee and was spotted enjoying the views on his hotel balcony earlier in the day.
Before hopping on the chopper Ian took to Twitter to announcer his trip saying, "Sao Paulo here I come;) going to hang with my Friends at JohnJohn."
The 33-year-old's visit to Brazil created a Twitter frenzy marking a trend of "WelcomeToBrazilIanSomerhalder" by his followers and when one fan asked him to stay he kindly replied, I would stay here forever if i could... it's beautiful- you must protect it!.
Ian wrapped up his busy day by tweeting, "Good night São Paulo.Fun time w/ you,my papa, @TheJram &my friends at JohnJohn.Youre beautiful,crazy&amazing-please never change... Xo Ian".
