You could hear Gleek hearts breaking as the third season of "Glee" wrapped up with Finchel putting an end to their relationship.
During the dramatic finale on FOX, McKinley High couple Finn (Cory Monteith) and Rachel (Lea Michele) decided to part ways in hopes of chasing down their dreams.
Although the couple intended on moving to New York City together their plans were shattered when Rachel was accepted into the New York Academy of the Dramatic Arts while Finn received a rejection letter form the New York based Actors Studio.
Even though Rachel insisted on staying in Lima, Ohio to plan a wedding, Finn drove her to the train station and told her, "You're going to get on that train, go to New York and you're going to be a star without me, because that's how much I love you".
Finn also explained how he was going to enlist in the Army in Ft. Benning, Ga admitting, "I need a chance to try and redeem my father. That's the only place I knew you couldn't follow me."
After bursting into tears Rachel joined her Glee co-stars on the train platform and her final words to Finn were, "I love you so much."
Earlier today Lea reassured her frantic Glee fans by tweeting, "Dont be sad! Im not leaving! Ill be back for season 4!! :)".
Off screen, Lea and Cory are still going strong as insiders reveal, "They've been hooking up for awhile," adding, "It's starting to seem a little more serious."
